Luceplan GlassGlass Cylindrical Shade Ceiling Lamp by Paolo Rizzatto

The Glassglass cylindrical shaped pendant lamp was designed by Paolo Rizzatto for Luceplan in Italy. With GlassGlass, thanks to its versatility, lighting scenarios and different atmospheres can be created to match everyday situations. The blown glass diffuser bodies are “originals” because, although made within a modern cycle of serial production, the ancient blowing process craft is maintained, as it was in Syria and later in the Roman Empire in 100 BC. The light can be clamped both to the ceiling and to the wall.

Luceplan GlassGlass Dome Shade Ceiling Lamp by Paolo Rizzatto

The Glassglass rounded shaped pendant lamp was designed by Paolo Rizzatto for Luceplan in Italy.

The attachment rosette comprises a rigid arm and, in the case of wall installations, it allows the diffuser to be distanced from the wall. The electric cable is a bearing element because it runs along a steel mesh sheath. This can bear heavy weights, the ends of which are fixed to the rosette and to the terminal diffuser ring support. The system of the ring with handle, fixed to the mouth of the glass, and easily hooked onto the bearing frame, offers handiness, safety, simple assembly and maintenance previously unthinkable for glass diffusers on that scale. GLASSGLASS makes it possible simply to interchange its glass units chosen from a wide range of forms, colors and transparencies to satisfy the most diverse and personal needs.

Luceplan Goggle Modern Wall-Ceiling Lamp by Ross Lovegrove

The Goggle wall or ceiling lamp was designed by Ross Lovegrove for Luceplan in Italy. Iridescent colors and reflections for a wall lamp inspired by the shape of swimming goggles and the mirror treatment of sports eyewear lenses. Goggle is an elliptical lamp in opaline polycarbonate that can be fixed to the wall at a normal or tilted angle, singly or in rows, to create a lively cluster of lights. The color variation of Goggle’s flat surface is created solely by the different angle from which it is observed. The lamp’s color changes are in fact caused by an iridescent film that exploits in-mold decoration technology to become an integral part of the diffuser. These lamps are suitable for damp locations like the bathroom.

Abstract, pure and modern! The Mondrian sideboard was designed and handcrafted by Boca do Lobo in Rio Tinto, Portugal. This exquisite sideboard was inspired by the paintings of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian who was one of the founding artists of De Stijl. The exceptional Mondrian sideboard consists of a grid of vertical and horizontal cabinets drawn in the same manner as the paintings by Piet Mondrian. Rather than painting the external grid drawers with the three primary colors, the Mondrian cabinet relies solely on one minimal modern color, in this case various shades of white with some touches of grey. This piece has several shades appearing in the continuation of the sideboard. The outside facade could be considered a minimalist study. But there is one additional surprise, the bottom liners of each shelf are bestowed with various themes and colors including blue, red, white, etc. To make the picture complete, the entire structure is cased in glass which enhances its gallery-like appearance. Boca do Lobo's Mondrian sideboard is part of the "Limited Edition" of Boca Do Lobo. This exceptional object rewrites the boundaries between the way we perceive the conventional established art scene and these new brilliant avant-garde furniture pieces. The Mondrian is a true collectors piece in every sense of the word. A piece fit for any self-respecting collector and museum. A unicum.

Vitra Algue

Vitra Algue

This Vitra Algue set contains 50 pieces of a single color packaged in a box. Vitra Algue was designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra. Vitra's Algue are at one and the same time interior design components and decorative elements. Highly decorative, extremely attractive and easy assembly are some of the positive features of the Vitra Algue screen designed by the Bouroullec brothers.

Vitra Algue is a fantastic room or space divider. Reminiscent of underwater plants, the plastic elements can be linked together to form web-like textures, from light curtains to opaque, thick room dividers. 25 Algue snap-together components are required for one square yard light net mesh. Vitra's Algue are supplied in packs of 50 pieces (2 square yards) or in gift packs of six pieces. The great part about Algue is that they provide some kind of visual interest without completely blocking off a space. And best of all, you can reconfigure Vitra's Algue to any shape and place it just about anywhere!

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, born 1971 and 1976, respectively, in Quimper, France, studied at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Cergy-Pontoise. Ronan began independent design work immediately after completing his studies, while his brother, who was still in school, assisted him. Since 1999 both brothers have worked together as joint partners in their own design firm. Their work ranges from small utilitarian objects to architectural projects. In addition to the design of domestic and office furniture, vases, porcelain dishware, jewellery and diverse home accessories, a primary focus of their work is the design and organization of interior space. One of their most unconventional designs, Vitra Algue (2004), was created in this context. The collaboration between the Bouroullec brothers and Vitra began in 2000 with the office furniture system Joyn, which was developed between 2000-02 and is continually being refined and expanded. Along with Jasper Morrison and Hella Jongerius, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have made major contributions to the steadily growing Vitra Home Collection.
