The PH Snowball lamp is considered to be a masterpiece of mid century modern Scandinavian design. This modernist pendant lamp displays the exemplary design talent of Danish designer Poul Henningsen. Poul Henningsen designed the PH Snowball lamp in 1924. This modern pendant light is the ultimate modern icon. Poul Henningsen's PH Snowball pendant lamp is as much about mathematics as it is about light. The shapes in the PH Snowball lamp are precisely aligned so that every surface receives a ray of light at exactly the same angle. These rays of light are then reflected, the degree of which is controlled by Poul Henningsen's careful placement of matte or glossy finish. The result is optimal and even distribution of light that's completely without glare. While the form of the PH Snowball lamp was surprisingly modern for 1924, Henningsen did not design this lamp to celebrate the new technology of the electric light bulb. Rather, his goal was to recreate a quality of light he had experienced from petroleum lanterns, which were used in the small Danish town he grew up in because there was no electricity. As with all of Poul Henningsen's lighting, his aim was to "work scientifically and make lighting more beautiful."

The PH Snowball is considered a smaller version of the PH Louvre made for the Adventist Church in Skodsborg, Denmark. But unlike the PH Louvre, the number of shades is reduced to just eight mounted on three legs - and the diameter of the fixture is also reduced due to the fact that it was intended for lower ceiling spaces. This fixture was first launched together with the PH 5 and the PH Artichoke but it did not get the same attention as the other two pendants. However, as a result of the PH Snowball being re-drawn and re-introduced in 1983 this fixture has come alive again. Today it is made with white shades glossed on the top and matted on the underside. The top of the shades are glossy in order to create sparkling light. The undersides of the shades are matte to avoid reflections of the light source.

The Collage pendant lamp was designed by Danish designer Louise Campbell for Louis Poulsen in Denmark. It is one of the most striking lamps in the Louis Poulsen modern lighting collection. The Collage pendant lamp's undeniable elegance is reflected in the delicate and highly decorative pattern which was inspired by the way light in a forest filters through thousands of layers before reaching the ground. The pattern of the Collage lamp is based on a simple abstraction of the ellipse, which is positioned seemingly freely on all three layers. This creates depth of field and shadow-play on the Collage pendant itself — an unusual and calming feature for a lamp. From nowhere does the light source blind the eye in spite of the hundreds of holes in the pendant.

The illumination of the Collage pendant lamp is mostly diffused. The Collage pendant lamp consists of three staggered shades. All three have carefully been staggered in order to avoid any direct glare from the light source. The light and shadows from the Collage pendant lamp are ever changing when viewing the fixture from different angles.

The Louis Poulsen Collage pendant lamp by Louise Campbell emits a constantly changing reveal: three layers encourage a beautiful play of light between the shades. Constructed using three pieces of laser-cut, glossy extruded acrylic. Poul Henningsen designed the PH5 lamp for Louis Poulsen in 1958. The PH5 lamp is considered to be a classical masterpiece and the ultimate functional style icon. Poul Henningsen named it the PH5 because the diameter of the top shade is 50 cm. The number "5" refers to 5 dm (19.7").

The PH5 lamp provides a glare free illumination. The design of the visible reflectors ensures that light is directed both vertically and horizontally. Light is diffused through a sandblasted glass shield located in the lower shade. The inside cone is painted red, and together with the small blue reflector creates a warmer tone of light. The Louis Poulsen PH5 pendant lamp was designed to hang low above a table while at the same time giving a moderate light to the surroundings. The design of the visible reflectors ensures that light is directed both vertically and horizontally.
